Have you had a chance to tour Gapsville yet? Gapsville is a town that’s stuck in a cycle of old security solutions and predictable advice. The residents of Gapsville are stuck in a rut, due to the limitations of the cybersecurity skill gap. The talent shortages are too vast to overcome. The specific security skills and expertise that teams need simply do not exist.

Gapsville’s mayor, Stan Breacherton, encourages travelers far and wide to come visit Gapsville and experience their way of life. On your visit, you can peruse The Gapsville Gazette, give Consultants, Inc. a call, catch up on GTV news, and rock out to hits at Status Quo & Co.

After a visit to Gapsville, it’s clear that the cybersecurity skills gap isn’t a problem that can be solved—it’s a reality that must be accepted.

Or is it?

The Debunk Diaries

On the borders of Gapsville, a fog-filled canyon separates the town from the real world, called “The Pit.” Legend says the canyon is a mile deep.

However, a few rogue Gapsville residents are questioning everything. These rebels believe that The Pit is actually shallow and that it is a mirage crafted to suppress questions about access to cybersecurity talent.

One of these rebels started a vlog series, The Debunk Diaries. Check out his first vlog here.

It’s almost like he’s saying that the cybersecurity skills that teams are desperate for are actually out there. They exist, now it’s just an issue of how to find them. How do we access all of this cybersecurity talent?
